Pankaj Tripathi will be honoured at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2026 with the ‘Artist of Distinction’ title, in recognition of his work in Indian cinema.
The National Award-winning actor will attend the festival in Melbourne, Australia, in person for the first time to accept the honour.
The festival is scheduled to run from August 13 to 23, 2026.
Rani Mukerji will also be recognised at IFFM 2026, receiving an Honorary Doctorate, with the two actors headlining this year’s event.
Tripathi is known for roles including Sultan Qureshi in Gangs of Wasseypur, Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur, a National Award-winning turn in Mimi, and appearances in Newton, Stree, Masaan, OMG 2 and Main Atal Hoon.
