India completed a 3-0 sweep of their T20I series against Zimbabwe on Sunday, winning the third and final match at the Harare Sports Club by 35 runs. Set 193 to win after India’s innings, Zimbabwe could only manage 157/7 in their 20 overs.

The India total of 192/5 was anchored by opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who made 81 off 49 deliveries. The 15-year-old has been the standout batter of the series, following up a maiden T20I fifty scored off 18 balls in the opening match and a rapid 20 off 9 balls in the second game.

Sunday’s innings gave Sooryavanshi two international half-centuries before turning 16, a first for any batter from a full-member Test-playing nation. It also ensured India had enough runs on the board to control the contest from the outset.

Zimbabwe’s chase never gathered momentum against India’s bowling attack. Mayank Yadav was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with 3 for 29 as Zimbabwe slipped to 157/7 by the end of their innings.

With the T20Is done and dusted 3-0, India close out the tour with back-to-back clean sweeps — the T20I result following an identical 3-0 scoreline in the ODI series played earlier on the same trip.
