Brent crude took a hit with prices sliding by 0.4% down to $93.37 per barrel as WTI crude mirrored this trend with a fall of 0.6% to $88.33 per barrel amidst US-Iran ceasefire whispers.
In currency news that somewhat softened the blow for import-heavy sectors, the rupee appreciated by 0.7%, closing stronger at Rs 95 against the dollar compared to earlier rates of Rs 95.70 during the week.
